Gardening has really taken off recently and is a great life skill and hobby to develop. There is lots to learn in the garden through different plant names, plant parts, plants types and conditions needed for successful growth. Plus, there's nothing like the feeling you get when you can eat something you've grown yourself - whether it is lettuce, different herbs, strawberries or potatoes!
Can you label the parts of a plant? Do you know what photosynthesis is? What do you know about the Irish famine? There are lots of interesting activities and worksheets here - and the great news is that they're short and colourful so it's easy to have a look at a different one each day and build your knowledge! Maybe you can make a smoothie with the fruits you grow, or maybe you have a recipe you would like to share with us? There are also activities to help you build your own wormery, or mini greenhouse.
If all of that doesn't appeal to you, maybe you could decorate some rocks for your garden!
